Company Details
Description
VET.FACE Veterinary Dentistry, Boa Viagem 51030-490, Recife PE, Brazil, which specializes in services in the field of dentistry and oral surgery. Professional, Reliable and Accredited since 2011.
Periodontal Treatment At first, the veterinary dentistry was limited in cleaning teeth, removing only the calculations of surfaces. Currently, teeth cleaning is only part of the specialized procedure, necessary for the real problems get the show. The initial examination includes periodontal probe to measure the depth of periodontal pockets, dental records (odontogramas), cleaning, polishing all surfaces and intraoral radiographs. The second step follows the treatment itself: scrapings below the gingiva, curettage, flaps / gingival plasty, extractions, grafts, repositioning, absorbable sutures, etc. are some maneuvers used in specialized periodontal treatment.
Dental Radiography All our treatments include x-rays of all teeth. Radiographs may confirm our suspicions or indicate totally different ways, so this is a valuable resource in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of oral and dental problems.
Veterinary Anesthesia Our patients receive inhaled anesthesia supervised by an anesthesiologist and vital parameters such as heart and respiratory rates, ECG, pulse oximetry, blood pressure and temperature are monitored during all procedures. We understand the value of your pet's life and confidence in our work.
Broken teeth root canal treatment are very common problems in dogs and cats. If we imagine that the internal structures of the teeth (endodontium) of animals are like ours, we can see that they are subject to the same problems, including toothache.
Veterinary Cardiology We have full-service cardiology and monitoring of our patients. Dra. Cecilia Carvalho, specialized and reference in the public areas, is responsible for this support and security procedures.
orthodontics Dogs and cats may have lesions in the oral cavity or dental fractures due to a bad positioning of one or more teeth, leading to the formation of abscesses, infection, pain, excessive salivation and anorexia. For this reason, the correction of malocclusion in animals, has little to do with an aesthetic issue, but an alternative to improve the quality of life of these patients.
Oral facial trauma surgery are common in dogs and cats, secondary to fights, run over, falls, etc. The most common consequence are the mandibular fractures or jaw. osteosynthesis techniques with bone cerclages and / or interdental, plates and screws and fixation for interdental resin are some of the maneuvers used in the repair of these injuries. Other changes that require advanced techniques of oral surgery are resection of oral tumors (mandibulectomy / maxilectomias), closure of oronasal communications (flaps / mucogengivais flaps), cracks traumatic or congenital cleft and changes in temporomantiblar joint (TMJ).
Dental restorations Dental restorations in dogs and cats are similar to human. The material and equipment used are exactly the same. First it is necessary to dental radiographs to determine whether the roots are involved and the extent of the area to be restored. The indications for restorations are: dental fractures, dental enamel hypoplasia, wear, abrasion and decay. If there endodontic injury involved tooth, root canal treatment is indicated before proceeding with the restoration.
Dental implants currently it is possible to replace missing teeth also in animals. We can implant new teeth and prosthetic implant specific to animals.
